A line-drawing of the white rabbit in his tweed jacket, looking anxiously at his watch.

This is the White Rabbit, from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll, as drawn by Sir John Tenniel.

The body is made from needlelace in corded Brussels stitch, with the face embroidered on and the ears and arms made out of felt. The jacket and neckscarf are made from fabric while the white shirt collar and yellow waistcoat are made from felt. Instead of holding a pocket watch, these appear all over the background fabric.

Opposite him are a flamingo and a hedgehog, from the croquet set in the book. Their background is playing cards (printed on the backing fabric), which seemed appropriate given the nature of the Queen of Hearts' court. The hedgehog is made from needlelace and the flamingo from felt (with a needlelace wing).
